Chaffey College began online and in-person classes Monday, including classes in nursing and hospitality management, both new programs.
About 300 classes are in-person or a mix of in-person and online instruction, a more than 130 percent increase in face-to-face classes from one year ago.
“We are excited to be offering more classes with face-to-face instruction on our three campuses in compliance with public health mandates,” said Chaffey College Superintendent/President Henry Shannon. “We will also continue to offer an abundance of online courses to give our students more options.”
Fall enrollment numbers are about the same as last fall. Although, students have enrolled in five percent more classes and are taking nearly 7,000 more units than last year.
Sixteen faculty members have been added to Chaffey College’s more than 1,100 full-time and adjunct teaching staff.
With campuses in Rancho Cucamonga, Chino and Fontana, Chaffey offers 28 degrees that transfer to four-year universities and colleges.
