Laura Hope has been named Chaffey College’s acting associate superintendent of instruction and institutional effectiveness.
Hope, who began her new position Jan. 16, oversees the school’s educational programs and services while managing more than 1,000 full and part-time faculty members, according to a statement.
“Laura Hope brings a wealth of experience as an educational leader both at the local and state level,” said Henry Shannon, Chaffey College’s superintendent and president, in the statement. “We are honored to have someone of her caliber and level of expertise leading the academic vision of Chaffey College.”
Since 2017, Hope has been executive vice chancellor for educational services at the California Community College’s Chancellor’s Office, where she was in charge of several initiatives, managed budgets and worked with other vice chancellors on policy planning, according to the statement.
