Stater Bros. Charities and Inland Women Fighting Cancer will hold their eighth annual Believe Walk this Sunday.
The walk, which raises money to fight cancer, is scheduled start a 8 a.m. in downtown Redlands, according to a statement released today by Stater Bros. Charities.
Walkers may follow a 5K or 10K route. The event will include a Survivor Celebration at Ed Hales Park, “Bark and Believe” stations for pets and a “Believe Bash” celebration at the Redlands Bowl.
Registration for the event, which is limited to 10,000 participants, will begin at 6:30 a.m. at Orange and State streets.
Since its inception, the Believe Walk has raised more than $2.5 million for local cancer-fighting organizations, including Loma Linda University Cancer Center, St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, Redlands Community Hospital and The Beloved Foundation.
“The level of community support for Believe Walk has been amazing,” said Nancy Varner, co-founder of Inland Women Fighting Cancer, in the statement. “It’s so exciting to see how all aspects of the community have come together for one cause, to fight cancer.”
