Chino property to be residential community

A homebuilder has purchased vacant land in Chino, where it will develop a residential community.

Century Communities in Rosemead bought the 122-lot infill parcel between Fern Avenue and Interstate 83 for an undisclosed sum, said Les Whittlesey, founding partner with WD Land in Irvine.

The seller was Stratham Investments. WD Land helped arrange the transaction, which was announced this week.

The project, Stonebrook, will consist of 122 single-family homes. Grading has already started and is expected to last four to five months. Homes could be ready for sale by September, Whittlesey said.

Information concerning prices and floor plans was not available.

WD Land helps negotiate land sales for builders, investors, developers and landowners, with an emphasis on  residential infill projects. Since it was founded in 1996, WD Land has completed nearly 600 transactions throughout California worth an estimated $3.8 billion, according to the company’s website.
