City launches economic development survey

Fontana is conducting an online survey regarding economic development and community and housing needs.

The 11-question online study, by the city’s department of housing and business development,  is scheduled to close Oct. 30, according to a statement.

Participants can select one of four options (no need, low need, moderate need or high need) for each topic. The questions are about infrastructure, neighborhood services, community facilities, business-related services, and housing facilities.

Information gathered from the survey will be used by the city to prepare for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s 2020-2024 “consolidated” grant plan, which will allow Fontana and other cities to draw funding funds from HUD’s Community Development Block Grants, HOME Investment Partnerships, and Emergency Solutions Grants.
