City looks to fill spaces on homeless task force

Victorville is asking for volunteers to serve on its Homeless Solutions Task Force.

That group, made up of city staff and members of community service groups, develops policies and identifies funding sources that will help Victorville reduce its homeless population, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Those organizations include school districts, faith-based organizations, medical services and business community members.

Anyone interested in joining the task force, which meets twice a month, must submit the online application available at www.victorvilleca.gov by 4:30 p.m. March 24. A detailed description of the task force, including a list of available positions, is posted at VictorvilleCA.gov/HSTF.
