Moreno Valley is accepting applications for federal grants designed to help low and moderate-income residents and neighborhoods.
The city expects to receive just under $2 million in Community Development Block Grant funds, which are provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to statement.
That funding, which will be spent during the current fiscal year, will be used to eliminate blight, increase affordable housing and address homelessness.
Examples of eligible projects include neighborhood public improvements, housing rehabilitation and crime prevention, according to the statement.
