City to suspend some Sunday library service

Riverside will close several of its libraries on Sundays due to underperformance.

Starting April 12, the Arlanza, Sgt Salvador J. Lara Casa Blanca, SPC Jesus S. Duran Eastside at Lincoln Park, La Sierra, and Marcy libraries will be closed the first day of the week, according to a statement on Riverside’s website.

Staff and resources will be shifted to Tuesday through Saturday. Online library resources, eBooks, and Book Lockers will remain available.

The Arlington, Main, and Orange Terrace libraries will remain open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
