Rochelle Clayton has been named San Bernardino’s deputy city manager.
A San Bernardino native, Clayton has spent 30 years working for public agencies in the Inland Empire, most recently as Menifee’s assistant city manager, according to a statement on San Bernardino’s website.
Clayton is scheduled to start work in her new role at San Bernardino April 15.
“We are pleased that Rochelle will be joining our team,” City Manager Charles Montoya said in the statement. “She has extensive experience in municipal government, county government, and with special districts, and she knows the city of San Bernardino well.”
As deputy city manager, Clayton will be in charge of public works, community development and housing, and parks, recreation and community services, according to the statement.
