Palm Springs City Manager Justin Clifton has announced his resignation.
Clifton will step down Sept. 16 after 15 months on the job, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“I feel good about the work we have done together,” Clifton said in the statement. “There are numerous important initiatives and projects that I look forward to seeing [completed]. I’ve loved seeing numerous teams lean-in to building a great workplace culture, and I know that you will continue that journey.
“I also feel good that there is a very strong administrative team in place to continue to steer the organization forward.”
Clifton, who called the decision to resign “difficult,” reportedly plans to go to work in the private sector. The city council will immediately begin searching for “top city manager candidates,” Mayor Lisa Middleton said in the statement.
He planned this from the beginning, how can a man
Not know what his plan is when applying for
Such an important job. Anything short of a family emergency
We should sue him and get the city’s money back.
He is just getting his feet wet and leaning the lay of the land
After a year and a half.
He setup Palm Springs as his ticket to set
himself up. He is a con.
