Clothing chain expands in San Bernardino

A Nordstrom-owned clothing store chain will move its Fontana warehouse-distribution facility into a larger operation in San Bernardino.
HauteLook will relocate to a 604,000-square-foot industrial building in the Glen Helen Distribution Center, more than than double the size of its current operation in Fontana, according to a company statement.
HauteLook signed a 10-year lease on the building, which is at 17335 Glen Helen Parkway near Interstate 15.
The project sits on 30 acres and includes about 2,000 square feet of office space, according to the statement.
Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
“[San Bernardino] County has proven to be a strong location for our operations,” said Terry Boyle, president of HauteLook, in a statement.  “That’s why we’ve not only decided to remain here but looked to expand our fulfillment center operations significantly.”
HauteLook sells casual clothing and accessories. It hosts daily limited-time, limited-inventory sales at up to 75 percent off retail price, according to the statement.
San Bernardino has landed several major distribution and manufacturing operations during the past several years, notably Amazon.com’s move into a 915,000-square-foot warehouse-distribution facility last year.
That company plans to add a little more than 500,000 square feet to that project, according to the statement.
