Concert to mark 9/11 attacks

Concert will benefit the homeless

Riverside City College’s music department will hold a concert this month to raise money to help homeless people.

The Concert for the Homeless is scheduled to be held at 4 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Henry W. Coil, Sr. and Alice Edna Coil School for the Arts Concert Hall, according to a statement.

The show, which will feature the department ’s guitar, wind, jazz and percussion ensembles, will benefit the Path of Life Homeless Shelter. 

Path of Life has been in operation since 1968. It’s one of the city’s primary non-profit service agencies committed to meeting the needs of the homeless, wayward youth and family population.

A minimum $10 donation is required for admission. General admission tickets are available online at www.coilschoolforthearts.com or on the day of the event at the Coil School for the Arts box office, starting at 3 pm. Tickets are also available through the Landis Performing Arts Center box office or by calling (951) 222-8100.
