For the second time in less than a year, CIRCOR Aerospace Inc. is planning to expand its maintenance facility in Corona.
The company, which manufactures hydraulic systems used in the aerospace, power generation and oil and gas industries, will add about 50,000 square feet to its facility at 2301 Wardlow Circle, said Jackie Osborne, spokeswoman for CIRCOR Aerospace.
The building, which covers 100,000 square feet, was expanded by about 30 percent this year. About 300 people work there.
The expansion will help improve speed and efficiency in the company’s manufacturing operations, according to a statement.
CIRCOR plans to add more employees when the expansion is complete, but Osborne declined to say how many jobs will be added or how much the expansion will cost.
The company uses the building, which is the headquarters for its Aerospace & Defense Division, for maintenance, repair and overhaul, specifically chemical processing and non-destructive testing.
CIRCOR Aerospace & Defense is a subsidiary of CIRCOR International Inc., which is based in Burlington, Mass. CIRCOR International operates approximately 20 facilities worldwide, according to the company’s website.
