A second Coronavirus testing site opened Wednesday in Moreno Valley.

The facility at Cottonwood Golf Center, 13671 Frederick St., will be open Wednesday through Saturday and then, starting next week, Monday through Friday, according to a statement released by the city.

“We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to get tested,” said Mayor Yxstian Gutierrez in the statement. “It’s free and it will help health professionals better understand the virus.”

Riverside County operates a testing site at CrossWord Christian Church, 21401 Box Springs Road. It’s open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment call 1 (800) 945-6171.

County test sites are free of charge and open to everyone. Participants will be asked to provide information about their health insurance, but will not be turned away if they aren’t insured, according to the statement.
