Riverside County is laying off 32 employees.
Layoff notices were sent to 23 code enforcement officers and one member of the Transportation & Land Management Agency during the last week of May, according to multiple reports.
Eight employees in the Supply and Printing Services Division were also let go, and three workers from that division were reassigned.
The layoffs were made to cut costs. Code enforcement has been ordered to reduce its budget by $3 million for services in unincorporated areas, the reports stated.
