Orange County’s credit union will open its first Inland Empire branch office this summer.
The office will be at Town Center at the Preserve in Chino, a neighborhood shopping center anchored by a Stater Bros. Supermarket and specialty tenants that include Starbucks, Panera Bread, Jersey Mike’s, Chipotle, and Sports Clips, according to a statement.
An exact opening date was not disclosed.
The 87-year-old credit union is opening the office in partnership with Lewis Retail Centers in Upland, developer of the Town Center at the Preserve.
“Town Center at the Preserve presented us with an opportunity to expand our services in a fast-growing region of Southern California,” said Kathy Jumper, Orange County’s Credit Union’s chief executive officer, in the statement. “This new location is the first step in our expansion into markets outside of Orange County.”
Based in Santa Ana, Orange County’s Credit Union has more than 14,000 members and nearly $3 billion in assets. It’s a not-for-profit entity owned by its members, not shareholders, according to the statement.
Lewis Retail owns and operates more than 40 shopping centers throughout California and Nevada, according to the statement.
