Cal State San Bernardino has reached its $200 million fundraising goal.
The university’s “Our Defining Moment: The Campaign for CSUSB” campaign recently topped $203 million, according to a statement on the school’s website.
The campaign, which began in December, is expected to last three more years.
“This achievement was reached thanks to our amazing and committed university community,” said Robert Nava, vice president of university advancement and executive director of the school’s philanthropic foundation, in the statement. “With three more years to go, I am excited to see the impact we can make with this historic campaign.”
The Defining Moment campaign raises money for scholarships, programs, and research, construction of facilities, and attracting faculty.
Cal State San Bernardino is the first public institution of higher learning in the United States to undertake a comprehensive fundraising campaign that made appeals to donors, grants, and research funding, according to the statement.
