Washington Monthly has ranked Cal State San Bernardino in the top 10 for the categories “Best Bang for the Buck” in the western United States and for national universities with master’s programs.
The university ranked eighth among Western colleges and universities that help non-wealthy students obtain affordable degrees that help them find a job, according to a statement.
Seventeen California State Universities made the list, with five other Cal State’s making it to the top ten, including Stanislaus State at one, CSU Bakersfield at two, Cal State LA at six and Cal Maritime Academy at seven.
Cal State San Bernardino also ranked third for universities that offer masters degrees. Out of 150 institutions, three other CSUs made the top ten, including Stanislaus State at four, Cal Bakersfield at five and Cal State Los Angeles at six.
A total of 14 Cal State’s made the master’s list.
“Being ranked in the top ten is a testament to CSUSB’s promise to student success,” said Cal State San Bernardino President Tomás D. Morales in the statement. “We are committed to offering our students a quality and affordable education, and are truly proud of this prestigious recognition.”
