Cal State University San Bernardino receives grant money

CUSM receives grant

The California University of Science and Medicine has received a $10,000 grant from Bank of America.

The Colton-based school will use the money to help train healthcare providers in rural areas of Riverside and San Bernardino counties, according to a statement.

CUSM uses a clinical simulation suite designed to educate medical students, train residents, and provide training for doctors and other healthcare professionals throughout the Inland Empire.

The suite has 15 patient rooms for regular MD-patient encounters, which make possible patient interaction and assessment.  It also features four large-team simulation rooms equipped with high-fidelity simulators for team training, according to the statement.
