CVB Financial Corp. reported earnings of $59.1 million for the second quarter of 2022, up from $45.6 million in the first quarter and $51.2 million year-over-year.
Earnings per share was 42 cents for the quarter that ended June 30, an increase of 11 cents per share compared with the first quarter and a three-cent increase from 2021’s second quarter, the Ontario-based financial institution reported.
Total assets as of June 30 were $16.7 billion, a decrease of 4.44 percent at the end of the first quarter.
CVB Financial produced about $86 million in pretax income during the second quarter, a 30 percent increase from the first quarter, said David Brager, president and chief executive officer, in a statement.
CVB Financial is the holding company for Citizens Business Bank. It is one of the largest bank holding companies based in California.
