A $286 million lease in Ontario has been named the largest industrial transaction in the United States for 2022 by a major trade association.
DAUM Commercial Real Estate Services negotiated the 15-year transaction, which involved a 1.2 million-square-foot warehouse that is a Canadian clothing company’s distribution hub for the western United States, according to a statement released by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.
That transaction, for which Daum won the society’s Top Transaction Award for the Largest Transaction Overall, worked out to $1.19 per square foot.
The brokers were Gus Andros, executive vice president and principal; Eric Fikse, executive vice and Richard John, executive vice president and branch manager.
All three work out of Daum’s Ontario office and are association members, according to the statement.
