Dave & Buster’s to open desert location

Dave & Buster’s, the restaurant-entertainment chain, is coming to Coachella Valley.

The Dallas-based company will occupy 23,000 square feet at The River at Rancho Mirage, according to a May 17 statement.

CBRE represented Dave & Buster’s and the mall’s landlord, CL Investment Group in New York, the lease negotiations. Terms were not disclosed.

The River is a 227,000-square-foot shopping, entertainment and dining complex at Highway 11 and Bob Hope Drive. An estimated 67,500 vehicles use that intersection on a typical day, according to CBRE.

The River’s anchor tenants include a 15-screen Century Theatre and several restaurants,  including The Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang’s, and Yard House.

“Dave & Buster’s will bring in a different demographic than the typical retail shopper at The River,” said Marco Rossetti, CBRE vice president, in the statement.

Founded in 1982, Dave & Buster’s combines a full-service restaurant and bar with arcade games and billiard tables. It operates one other Inland Empire location, at Ontario Mills, according to the company’s website.
