Riverside County veterans will have an extra month to complete a survey designed to assess their needs and what the county can do to help them.
The deadline for filling out the Riverside County Veterans’ Needs Survey has been extended to Oct. 31 from its original Sept. 30 cutoff, according to a statement.
This is the first time the county has conducted such a study, and Supervisor V. Manuel Perez is trying to persuade every veteran who lives in Riverside County to participate.
The board of supervisors commissioned the survey as part of its Veterans Improvement Program. So far, more than 800 veterans have answered the inquiry, according to the statement.
The survey can be reached at riversideveteranhealth.org.
