Demauro named Apple Valley employee of the quarter

Maggie Demauro, Apple Valley’s finance analyst, has been named the town’s employee of the quarter for the third quarter.

Formerly an accounting employee with Boulder Colo. and San Bernardino, Demauro is in charge of the internal controls of Apple Valley’s financial and accounting operations, according to a statement on the town’s website.

“Maggie and the entire finance department have worked tirelessly these past few months balancing budgets and shaving costs,” said Town Manager Doug Robertson in the statement. “She specifically has been working on the town’s bond refunding measures that will significantly reduce future costs.”

Demauro was recognized at the Sept. 8 town council meeting.

“I enjoy getting the information down to the point that is easily understandable for our community and stakeholders,” Demauro said in the statement. “Seeing others understand the information and making them feel comfortable is my favorite part.”
