DiLullo sets world speed record

Mark DiLullo, founder and chief executive officer of Threshold Aviation at Chino Airport, recently set a world speed record on a flight from Cleveland, Ohio to Guam.

DiLullo and crew traveled 7,633 miles in 14:47:56 in a Gulfstream G450, according to a statement.

The March 25 flight averaged a ground speed of 515.5 mph. The record was not announced until its recent sanctioning by the National Aeronautic Association in Washington, D.C.

“It was very fulfilling to achieve the record,” DiLullo said in the statement. This record could not have been set by a single individual alone – it was best-in-class coordination by our crew, the professional ground crews, and the whole team at Threshold that made it happen.

“We can all be proud of that.”

This is Dilullo’s first sanctioned world record.
