A discount grocery chain is setting up shop at Ontario Mills.
Grocery Outlet Bargain Market will employ 29 people at its new store, which is scheduled to hold a grand opening ceremony at 8:55 a.m. June 20, according to a statement.
The first 200 customers that day will receive Grocery Outlet BlissBucks gift cards ranging from $5 to $200, and all shopper will receive a free reusable bag, while supplies last.
Grocery Outlet will also make a $1,500 donation to St. George Parish School in Ontario, and customers will be able to enter contest to win free groceries for one year.
Based in Emeryville, Ca., Grocery Outlet operates more than 300 stores in California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Washington. It carries fresh produce, meat, deli, dairy and beer and wine along with natural and organic products.
The company is run by independent owner-operators in the local community, according to the statement.
