A discount grocery store chain will open in Rancho Cucamonga, its first location in the city.
Grocery Outlet has signed a 10-year lease to occupy 21,500 square feet in a shopping center at 9560 Baseline Road, according to Progressive Real Estate Partners in Rancho Cucamonga.
That anchor space was formerly occupied by Rite Aid. The neighborhood shopping center, which is also home to US Bank, Dairy Queen, and a Savers Value Village, is now fully leased.
Financial terms of the lease, which Progressive negotiated, were not disclosed.
Grocery Outlet carries name-brand items, fresh products and general merchandise at lower prices than traditional retailers. The company has more than 500 independently operated stores in the United States, according to its website.
The Rancho Cucamonga store is expected to open next fall.
