Dollar General, the national discount chain, will open a store in Hemet this week.
The company, which sells national name brands as well as goods with private labels, is scheduled to open the store Saturday at 25720 Fairview Ave., according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
Doors will open at 8 a.m., and prizes will be given to some early shoppers, the report stated.
Dollar General, which opened its first Hemet store early last year, is based in Tennessee. The company operates more than 11,000 stores in 42 states, and it generally locates in communities with a median income of less than $75,000, according to the Dollar General website.
Dollar General is one of three national discount chains, along with Dollar Tree and Family Dollar, that entered the Inland Empire several years ago during the height of the recession.
