Desmond & Louis, one of the Inland Empire’s leading public relations firms, has added Georgine Trujillo, chief executive officer of Trujillo Communications in Los Angeles, to its team.
Trujillo will be Desmond & Louis’ senior vice president of government affairs and will be responsible for growing and managing that part of the company, according to a statement released this week.
The move is significant in part because Trujillo Communications is a Democratic campaign firm while Desmond & Louis favors Republicans.
“This is a new day for Desmond & Louis,” said Nicole Desmond, the firm’s chief executive officer, in the statement. “Georgine Trujillo joining the firm allows us to bring relationships and resources to the table for our clients that we did not have access to.”
Desmond noted that both firms have worked together before, including projects with several local unions.
“I’m very happy to be joining Desmond & Louis,” Trujillo said in the statement. “I believe together we will be able to meet the growing political demands of our current and future clients, in the Inland Empire and beyond.”
Desmond & Louis is based in San Bernardino County with offices in Yucaipa and Redlands. It provides public relations, guerrilla-marketing, event management, new media and social media services, according to the statement.
