Dog Park to close temporarily

The popular Palm Springs Dog Park behind city hall will be closed from Nov. 12 through Dec. 20 for its annual reseeding and maintenance.

During that five-week period, a temporary park for small dogs will be available at Demuth Park at Vella Road and Mesquite Avenue across from the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, according to statement on the city’s website.

Residents with larger dogs may continue using the park behind softball fields seven and eight on the west end of Demuth Park next to the community center.

Both temporary parks will be open from sunup to sundown seven days a week, according to the statement.
