Palm Springs Dog Park is scheduled to reopen Nov. 20.
The facility, at 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way behind city hall, was renovated with funding generated by Measure J, a one-cent sales tax increase voters approved in 2011, according to a statement on the city’s website.
A grand re-opening ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. Festivities will include a puppy parade led by the city council and the unveiling of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter’s upcoming calendar cover.
The refurbished dog park features new sod, benches, new walkways and water fountains, energy-efficient lighting and more shade, according to the statement.
