Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. will develop a training center in Eastvale.
The $4.5 million operation will be located in the Goodman Commerce Center and will house training facilities for Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche, according to a statement posted Wednesday on the company’s website.
Specifically, the facility will deal with technical, collision repair and sales training. The number of employees was not released.
The training center, which is expected to open during the first quarter of next year, will be the first facility of its kind to work with all three automobile brands.
Volkswagen Group also announced that it will open a $6.8 million parts distribution center in Rocklin, Calif. The company has made a $7 billion investment in North America that began last year and will last through 2019, according to the statement.
