Hisense USA, a global manufacturer and distributor of home appliances and other electronic products, has set up shop in Moreno Valley.
The company has consolidated its logistics operations in Perris and Colton in a 522,000- square-foot warehouse-distribution facility at 22750 Cactus Ave., according to a statement on Moreno Valley’s website.
The project, announced Jan 15, is expected to create 200 jobs.
“We are thrilled to welcome Hisense USA to Moreno Valley,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our economic development goals and commitment to attracting world-class employers.”
Hisense is the leading maker of televisions larger than 100 inches wide. It ranks second globally in television shipments, and operates in more than 160 countries, according to the statement.
Hisense brands include Toshiba, Sharp, Gorenje, Kelon, and Hitachi.
“Moreno Valley offers an ideal environment for our continued growth,” said Chris Gardner, Hisense’s director of distribution, in the statement, “We look forward to becoming a member of the community and contributing to the region’s economic success.”
