One hundred and fifty seven million people in the United States worked at some point during 2013, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday.
About 63.5 percent of the non-institutional civilian population 16 years old and older worked at some time last year, down slightly from the 63.8 percent that worked during 2013, according to the data.
The number of persons who experienced some form of unemployment during dropped by 1.5 million, to 20.9 million, according to the data.
