An Inland Empire engineering firm has merged with an engineering company in Los Angeles.
I.W. Consulting Engineers Inc. in Riverside has joined forces with Psomas, which has maintained offices in Riverside since the early 1980s, according to a report in The Press- Enterprise.
The merger, which took about one year to put together, will allow Psomas to raise its profile quickly in the Inland Empire. The merged company will be in a better position to take on larger projects.
I.W. Consulting’s past projects includes the Main Street pedestrian mall in Riverside.
The new company plans to pursue several projects immediately, including construction of a Metrolink station in La Sierra and a feasibility study regarding an arena in Riverside, the report stated.
