Audubon International recently recognized Riverside for its efforts to make the city environmentally friendly and a better place to live
Riverside joined Audubon International’s Sustainable Communities Program last year with the help of The Toro Company, which maintains its irrigation division in Riverside, according to a statement released by the city.
In that program, Audubon International helps member communities develop plans, often conservation projects, that help improve the environment.
Audubon International is a non-profit organization based in Troy, N.Y.
