A fundraiser Thursday in Rancho Cucamonga raised an estimated $3,000 to fight breast cancer.
About 100 people attended the event on behalf of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, an affiliate of the American Cancer Society, said Jimmie Herrick, vice president and business officer with Stewart Title in Riverside and one of the event’s organizers.
The second-annual fundraiser was held at Atria Del Rey, an assisted living facility in Rancho Cucamonga. It was a “wine pull,” meaning everyone who attended went home with a bottle of wine, Herrick said.
A $40 minimum donation was required. Sponsors included Reaction Realty, Senior Solutions Professionals, Sunrise Solar and Cambridge Hospice.
‘It was a great event,” said Herrick, herself a breast cancer survivor. “Everything was fabulous. We’re planning on doing another one just like it next year.”
