San Bernardino’s downtown Farmers Market is expected to return Sept. 17, one week after it was canceled because of the San Bernardino Line Fire.
The popular event, which is held every Tuesday near the intersection of E Street and Court Street, was canceled this week because of poor air quality but will return next week, according to a statement on the city’s website.
The market operates from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It features fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, specialty foods and crafts, among other items.
The Line Fire began burning Sept. 5 near Base Line Road and Aplin Street in Highland.
Since then, the blaze has consumed more than 37,000 acres and is 18 percent contained, according to an update posted Sept. 12 by Cal Fire, the state’s forest protection service.
