The former site of a manufacturing plant in Pomona be home to a 143-unit condominium project.
The city’s planning commission has granted a conditional use permit to the development, which will be built on seven acres in the 800 block of Bonita Avenue, according to a report in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
No timeline for the project has been established.
For nearly 20 years, beginning in 1971, Xerox occupied an 80,000-square-foot building there, where it produced circuit boards. That building was torn down in 1996 and the site has been empty since.
Xerox had to clean up the site, which became contaminated because of some of the work done there, the report stated.
