The Riverside Community College District Foundation has received a $25,000 grant from Bank of America that it will use to help individuals and families secure financial stability.
The grant will help veterans, foster youth and disabled individuals interested in pursuing a career in one or more of the STEM fields: science, technology, engineering and mathematics, according to a statement.
“Bank of America has been a strong corporate partner to the Riverside Community College District for over twenty years,” said Launa Wilson, the foundation’s executive director, in the statement. “The Riverside Community College District Foundation staff and board of directors are grateful for this generous grant.”
The donation is one of 49 that Bank of America made recently to Inland Empire nonprofits.
Founded in 1975, the foundation raises and manages private donations that benefit the district, its colleges, students, and programs, according to the statement.
