California motorists are finally getting some relief at the gas pump.
The average price of a gallon of regular gasoline fell two cents Tuesday to $3.56, the 15th consecutive day that price decreased, according to AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report.
California still has the highest average price per gallon in the United States, even though its price has dropped about 23 cents during the last two week, the report stated.
Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Nevada and Washington were the only other states that averaged above $3 a gallon.
South Carolina had the most affordable gasoline: $2.19 for a gallon of regular. The national average as of this morning was $2.57 a gallon, according to the report.
In the Inland Empire, a gallon of regular gasoline sold for an average of $3.73.
