Paul Granillo, president and chief executive officer of the Inland Empire Economic Partnership, will be honored with an honorary doctor of humane letters by Cal State San Bernardino.
A CSUSB graduate, Granillo will receive the degree May 17 during the spring commencement ceremony, according to a statement on the university’s website.
During his 15 years as head of the partnership, the San Bernardino nonprofit has developed a presence in Sacramento and Washington, D.C., as it works to attract businesses to the Inland Empire, and trains future leaders in the Inland region’s public and private sector.
“This is an incredible honor,” Granillo said in the statement. “After my family, the education and experiences that I received at Cal State San Bernardino are responsible for allowing me, as a first-generation college graduate, to have had the career and life I have led.”
