Both counties have a variety of free and low cost Halloween events this year. From haunted houses to church carnivals and more, here are some of the Halloween events families can attend in the Inland Empire this year.
Claremont: Halloween Spooktacular in the Claremont Village, Oct. 31 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Activities include free games, entertainment and safe trick-or-treating, in addition to children/dog costume contests. Cost: Free
Fontana: Hollywood Horrors Haunted Maze at the Jack Bulik Teen Center, 16581 Filbert Ave., Oct. 31 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cost: $5 per person.
Grand Terrace: Halloween Festival at Rollins Park, Oct. 31 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Activities include trunk-or-treating and children/pet costume contests. Cost: Free
Highland: Harvest Festival at Immanuel Baptist Church, 28355 Baseline. Activities include free games for candy, petting zoo, bounce houses and live music. Cost: Free admission, small fees for some activities.
Ontario: Day of the Dead – El Dia de Los Muertos Family Discovery Day at the Museum of History and Art from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Nov. 1. Activities: Hands-on art stations, artist-led workshops, storytelling. Cost: Free
Rancho Cucamonga: Hallelujah Jubilee and Trunk-or-Treat at Calvary Chapel Rancho Cucamonga, Oct. 31 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cost: Free.
Redlands: Safe trick-or-treating along State Street beginning at 3:00 p.m. (afternoon only), Oct. 31. Cost: Free. Senior Halloween Dinner Dance at Redlands Community Senior Center from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. on October 30 (costumes encouraged). Cost: $5 with patron card, $10 without.
Riverside: Harvest Fest at Harvest Christian Fellowship, Oct. 31 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Activities include slides, hay rides, candy and more. Cost: Free admission, small fees for some activities.
San Bernardino: 1st Annual Harvest Festival at Generations Church from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Oct. 31st. Activities include games, candy and other safe Halloween fun. Cost: Free
Upland: Scary-A-Faire Celebration in downtown Upland from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Carved pumpkin contest (bring already carved), costume contest and trick-or-treating through businesses.
