The Riverside County Waste Management Department and Moreno Valley will host a household hazardous waste collection next month.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 16 at the City Corporate Yard, 15670 Perris Blvd., according to a statement released by Moreno Valley.
All Riverside County residents are encouraged to attend the collection. Syringes, used oil, used oil filters, batteries, electronics, paint and pesticides are among the items typically deposited at collection sites.
Residents are allowed to make multiple trips but are limited to 125 pounds – or 15 gallons – of material per visit. Containers should be no larger than five gallons or weigh more than 50 pounds, according to the statement.
