East Valley Community Health Center in Pomona has a new home.
On Tuesday, health care professionals and local dignitaries gathered at the center’s new facility, a former grocery store in the 1500 block of South Garey Avenue, according to a report originally published in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
The 25,000-square-foot facility replaces a 10,000-square-foot operation in a Fairplex Drive strip mall on the city’s west end.
The clinic will now be able to provide a range of services, including primary care for all ages, prenatal care, dental care, family planning and comprehensive HIV services, according to the report.
During the next two to three years, the South Garey Avenue facility is expected to treat about 17,000 patients who will make nearly 60,000 visits a year, according to the report.
