Peter Hemstead has been named chief executive officer of Riverside Community Hospital.
A member of HCA Healthcare since 2015, Hemstead was most recently chief executive officer at West Marion Hospital in Ocala, Fla., according to a statement on Riverside Community’s website.
HCA Healthcare is Riverside Community’s parent company.
Hemstead was Riverside Community’s chief operating officer from 2020 to 2022 before taking the position in Florida.
During his time in Ocala, Hemstead helped start West Marion’s 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation program, and the addition of 42 patient beds that are expected to be ready next year, according to the statement.
