Travis Hickey has been appointed Menifee’s chief financial officer.
A 26-year employee in local government finance, Hickey will oversee the city’s finance department and will work with outside agencies and other city departments on financial matters, according to a statement on Menifee’s website.
Hickey has worked mostly with city governments, but he has also been employed by counties, school districts, and special-purpose governments.
Most recently, he was Santa Fe Springs’ director of finance and administrative services, a position he held since 2018.
“Travis has a tremendous wealth of experience in financial matters, especially as they relate to local government,” said Menifee City Manager Armando G. Villa in the statement. “We are confident that he will continue to ensure that our city’s finances are held to the highest standards of excellence.”
