Home decor chain lands in Riverside

A fast-growing home furnishing chain has opened a store in Riverside.

At Home, which operates more than 200 stores in 39 states, is up and running at 2663 Canyon Springs Parkway, southeast of the 60 Freeway-Interstate 215 interchange, according to a statement.

The store opened Aug. 14 and plans to hold a grand opening Aug. 31. It employs 25 to 30 people and is near a Walmart Supercenter, a Target, a Chic-fil-A and Harkins Theatres Moreno Valley 16.

The Riverside store is the Plano, Texas-based chain’s first store in the Inland Empire and its third in California. The company plans to open its next stores in Tempe, Ariz. and Grand Chute, Wis., according to the statement.

At Home sells more than 50,000 home decor items, with its stores usually covering a little more than 100,000 square feet.

Since going public three years ago, At Home Group Inc. has grown its store size, net sales and profits by more than 20 percent every year and generates more than $1 billion in sales annually, according to the statement.
