A Newport Beach company that makes kitchen and bathroom products will buy its sister company in Mira Loma.
RSI Home Products will purchase Professional Cabinet Solutions for an undisclosed sum, according to a published report.
Both are private companies.
RSI employs more than 4,000 people in California, Texas, North Carolina and Mexico. Professional Cabinet employs about 300 workers.
Ownership will be shifted to RSI, after which both companies will operate separately. Thomas Chieffe, formerly with Oak Tree Capital, will be chief operating officer of both entities, according to the report.
RSI made the purchase so that it could expand and take advantage of the rebounding economy, according to the report.
