The first toll lanes on Interstate 10 in San Bernardino County are up and running.
A 10-mile stretch of highway from the Los Angeles County-San Bernardino County line in Montclair to Etiwanda Avenue in Ontario opened to motorists early Aug. 29, according to multiple reports.
The express lanes are part of the three-phase Interstate 10 Transportation Corridor Project, which is being developed by San Bernardino County Transportation Authority.
Construction on the first phase began in March, 2020. The 33-mile project will eventually run from the Los Angeles – San Bernardino County into Redlands.
To use the lanes, a driver must deposit at least $20 into a FasTrak account, with fees to be deducted when the lanes are used.
